Terms and Conditions

All sales are final. There are no refunds for any purchase. If you receive a DVD or CD from us that does not play, we are happy to replace it with a working copy of the same title. If you are having trouble playing a downloaded movie, be sure to check out our FAQ for how to fix the problem.

All orders are charged immediately. Downloads are available at once; DVDs are shipped within three working days.

Privacy

We take your privacy very seriously. We do not sell, rent, trade or give away any of your personal information to any outside company. We only give other organizations that information that is required to complete your orders (for example, giving our credit card processor your credit card information).

We don’t pass along any details as to the nature of your purchase.

Our physical packages come with “TBC” as the company on the return address.

We do place cookies in your browser to handle login information. That’s the only thing we do with those cookies. Those cookies are deleted when you close your browser.

We use Google Analytics to generate consolidated tracking information on our site usage. Those cookies contain no personally identifiable information.

We ask for your name, billing address, and telephone number in order to process your credit card charges and combat on-line fraud. This information is retained only for as long as required in order to handle disputed credit card charges, typical six months. Your credit card information is stored in a manner compliant with Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards.

How Can I Reach You If I Have a Problem or Question?

The best way to contact us is always via email to orders@mindcontroltheatre.com. Please be sure to include your login name (but not your password) with your question.

If you need to reach us by telephone, you can call us at (415) 787-2623. We’re a very small company and are often out in the field shooting a new movie, so please leave a message if you don’t get ahold of us. Include your login name, and the best number and time to reach you. We generally receive and return calls 10am to 5pm Pacific Time, seven days a week.

If you need to reach us by mail, you can write to us at DVV Entertainment, Inc, PO Box 411344, San Francisco CA 94141.

Can I pay by check or money order?

Yes, you can buy both our physical discs and our downloads by check or money order. Each checkout process has the appropriate options.

Checks and money orders must be US checks, drawn on a US bank, payable in US dollars.

Can I pay by PayPal?

Allow us to quote PayPal’s own Acceptable Use Policy:

PayPal prohibits all account holders from buying or selling sexually oriented digital goods, including downloadable pictures or videos, subscriptions to websites, or other content delivered through a digital medium.

That would be a “no.” While PayPal implies elsewhere in their Acceptable Use Policy that DVDs are acceptable, our painful experience is otherwise. Thus, we’re unable to accept PayPal for any transactions; our apologies for any inconvenience.

Can I use a debit card instead of a credit card?

As long as it is branded with the VISA or MasterCard logo, and can be used for internet transactions, debit cards are fine.

Are you going to bill my credit card repeatedly for a subscription?

No. All of our transactions are single-time-only. We just charge you for the movie you purchase, and send you on your way.

Why is your system saying that my card won’t go through? It’s fine!

We don’t know. Our system doesn’t give us any details about why a credit card is declined. Be sure you are entering your expiration date, CVV code, billing address and telephone number correctly (we pass along the telephone number to the credit card processor, and some banks care about it matching). If you are sure you are entering everything correctly, contact your bank; they are the only ones who know for sure what is going on.

I can’t play the trailer!

Sometimes, our trailers do not start playing right away, for some users. Just right- or shift-click, download the trailer to your desktop, and play it from there.

I can’t download the movie!

Download problems are almost always because of add-on “download accelerators” or “download managers.” If you are using one, turn it off. It won’t speed up anything, and it can cause trouble with our system.

I can’t play the movie!

Remember that you need to decompress the ZIP file first. Most modern operating systems let you decompress ZIP files without having to install any particular software; just right- or command-click on the file.

It won’t let me decompress it!

Some versions of WinRAR have trouble with our archives. Be sure you are using the built-in decompression or WinZIP instead.

I won’t let me play it even though I’ve decompressed it.

First, confirm that you can play other QuickTime or Windows Media Player movies. Then, take a deep breath and remember that thousands of people all over the world are successfully playing the very same movie you are trying to play, so it is very likely a problem with your system rather than the movie file on our servers. If you absolutely cannot get it to play, and you have confirmed that other files play fine, and you have downloaded alternative versions of our file and they do not work either, contact us and we’ll help you get it going.

If we’re unable to get the movie playing, we’ll be happy to send you a DVD or CD of the same title.

I’m running Windows 98 and …

… you have a very, very serious problem. Windows 98 reached end of life in July 2006. That’s nearly four years ago, as of this writing, with no updates or security patches of any kind. We’re definitely not surprised that you are having trouble playing our downloads or discs. First thing to try: Get an OS more recent than the one used to write Magna Carta.

The download is very very very very very slow!

We use a well-regarded content distribution network to push the movies out to you; they’re not coming directly off of our servers. You can visit their network debug tool here to find out where the speed bottleneck is.

I downloaded your movies a few years ago but then my hard drive got broke. Can I download them again?

Really, back up your stuff already.

We will reactivate up to three movies as a one time courtesy, if we can verify the download. (Older downloads may no longer be in our system.)

Send us an email with your user ID on our site and which movies you would like to download again, and we’ll be glad to help. (This is a manual process, so it may take a day or two.) Please remember this is a one time courtesy, and up to a maximum of three movies; after that, we make no promises. So, make backups, OK?

If I order a CD or DVD, how long will it take to arrive?

We ship all physical product orders within three working days, via the Post Office, from San Francisco, California. Domestic delivery generally takes 3-5 working days after shipment; International shipment is highly variable, but is generally within two weeks.

Are you Daphne Rosen?

Daphne Avakian, who writes most of the Mind Control Theatre productions, isn’t Daphne Rosen, the performer. Really, it’s just a coincidence we have the same first name.

I’d like you send you a script.

We’re always happy to take suggestions and get feedback, but we rarely (as in, never) use outside material for our productions. We’re happy to have you send us a script, as long as you understand: (a) We can’t give detailed feedback. (b) We do not promise that we will use any of the material in it. (c) We don’t promise we won’t use the material, or that we don’t already have a similar work in progress. (d) By sending us anything, you are absolutely releasing it for all purposes to us without any compensation or credit of any kind. If that’s not OK, don’t send us a script, treatment, or outline.

Do you do custom videos?

No. Getting all aspects of a fantasy just right is tricky, even if you are the person with the fantasy; doing it for someone else is very hard. Thus, we’ve decided to focus on our own material.

Do you hire crew?

We’re good, thanks.

I’m a guy, and I want to be in your movies.

No doubt. Right now, we’re only looking for professional adult-industry talent. If you are already in the industry, feel free to contact us with your agency’s information.
